St Ives Podiatry and Sports Podiatry Centre is proud to announce that October is Foot Health Month! Foot Health Month is hosted by the Australasian Podiatry Council, Australia's peak body for podiatry, each October.

This years theme is centred around the theme of promoting podiatry. The Foot Health Month campaign seeks to remind the public about the significance of good foot health and encourage people to seek more information about the services that podiatrists offer.

Whether you spend your day in the office, on the shop floor or on the worksite, your feet have a large impact on how you feel - if your feet aren't healthy, you can't perform at your very best.

Podiatrists offer professional skills and treatment services to help prevent and manage foot conditions.

Preventing foot and ankle problems is easier than having to treat them after they occur.
During the winter months the cold dry air can cause skin to become dry causing your feet to become cracked and irritated. If you want to avoid this painful irritation, use a good emollient skin moisturiser and apply it daily to your feet. This is a great way to prevent discomfort and maintain healthy feet.
